The 27th Shanghai TV Festival and the 24th Shanghai International Film Festival were held in Shanghai from June 6 to 10, 2021 and from June 11 to 20, 2021, respectively. Global Tone Communication Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., a respected member of the Shanghai Broadcasting Film & Television Producers Association, provided language-technology services for the TV Festival and the Film Festival, and demonstrated to the industry products of artificial intelligence and language technologies in the field of film and television translation, such as the YeeCaption audio/video localization solution.

Almost 900 entries from 40 countries and regions were received for the Magnolia Awards of the TV Festival. Moreover, 4,443 entries from 113 countries and regions were received for the Film Festival. In fact, the number of entries increased by 750 compared with the figure of 2020, marking the highest point among previous film festivals.

As China's only international A-list film event, the Shanghai International Film Festival is gaining increasing recognition. During the Film & TV Festival, numerous film and television productions from different countries, cultures and languages flooded in, making for a global gathering.
